If you are unsatisfied with a result from a civil matter, you have 30 days to file a notice of appeal to one of North Carolina’s appellate courts. In a criminal case you only have 14 days to file notice of appeal. If a party against you has filed a notice of appeal, you must begin preparing your response immediately. Time is a primary factor during the appeal process, and your counsel on appeal should be thorough, proficient, and persuasive. My experience in the appellate courts will provide valuable insight to your case. If your case is going on appeal, hire a lawyer who will protect your interests.
